Hello, my name is Nyah Tangry, I'm a South Asian multimedia artist and marketing professional based in Vancouver, BC. 

Artist Statement:
I have always viewed the world with immense complexity and depth, with creative writing and visual art as an outlet to understand my surroundings. As I began to unravel the layers of heritage, beauty, and trauma of my identity as a South Asian diaspora woman, creating art reflective of these facets of my personhood became my cause. My work invites people to experience contemplation and comfort simultaneously, prioritizing the rich colors and flowing lines that define diasporic communities and the women who came before me.

My background:

After completing my Marketing and Communications degree at Simon Fraser University in December 2024, I began a career in creative marketing where I manage social media and branding for a number of local businesses. I also have previous experience in post-secondary teaching, and sales in cosmetics and boutique settings.
